Andrelczyk blows the save in the 9th inning; Huntsville Stars vs. Jacksonville Suns

The Suns had a 1 run lead (1-0 Suns) coming into the top of the 9th inning. Peter Andrelczyk came into the 9th inning after allowing no runs and only 1 hit in the 8th, to then allow back-to-back singles Sean Halton and Brandon Jones with no outs. Chuckie Caufield hit an RBI ground rule double tieing the game at 1. Dayton Buller popped out to 2nd base which brought in no runs for the Stars. The Stars brought in a pinch hitter, Anderson De La Rosa, for the pitcher Michael Fiers which then hit a triple which brought Brandon Jones and Caufield in to give the Stars the lead (3-1 Stars). Yancarlos Ortiz couldn't advance De La Rosa when he flied out in foul territory caught by the shortstop, Chris Gutierrez, but Sergio Miranda advanced De La Rosa to home for the 4th run of the inning off Andrelczyk on a single to right fielder Jorge Padilla. Andrelczyk was able to get Stiffan Wilson to strike out swinging, for the 3rd out, before he faced the lead off hitter of the 9th Sean Halton again in the 9th. Sadly, Stars closer, Roque Mercedes, was able to get the save in the bottom of the 9th (that should of never had to be played) by striking out Jim Smolinksi for the 1st out, getting Mattison to fly out to left fielder Brandon Jones, and getting Gutierrez to ground out to shortstop Ortiz for a perfect 9th inning for Mercedes.

The Suns fall to in the series closer 4-1 and they fall in the series vs. the Stars 3-2.
