The Huskers have invaded the NFC East

Out of the 7 University of Nebraska Huskers football players drafted into the NFL, 5 of the players are headed to play in the NFC East. Prince Amukamara (CB) was drafted by the New York Giants in the 1st round, the 19th player drafted overall. 3 players were drafted by the Washington Redskins; Roy Helu Jr (RB) was drafted in the 4th round, DeJon Gomes (DB) in the 5th round, and Niles Paul (WR) also in the 5th round. Alex Henery (K) was drafted in the 4th round by the Philadelphia Eagles.

As a Cowboys and Huskers fan I have mixed feelings. I'm glad to see Husker players make it to the next level but to rivals not so much.

Prince Amukamara in his 4 year college career recorded 155 tackles (95 solo and 60 assisted), 4 sacks, 3 forced fumbles, and 5 interceptions. Prince was a unanimous selection to the First-Team Big 12 in 2010.

Roy Helu Jr. in 4 years of college collected 3,404 rushing yards and 27 rushing touchdowns. On October 30th the University of Nebraska Huskers played the University of Missouri Tigers when Roy beat out the former school record held by Colvin Jones (294 rushing yards) for rushing yards in a game with a 307 rushing yards game.

Alex Henery also played all 4 years in college. He made 68 field goals out of 76 attempts and he made 193 extra points out of 194 attempts. He was 92% accurate on field goals with the Huskers. Alex holds the Nebraska school record for scoring (397 points), most consecutive made field goals (18), most made field goals in a season (24 in 2009), most made field goals in his collegiate career (68), and he holds the record for longest field goal at Memorial Stadium (and school record) 57 yards vs Colorado.

DeJon Gomes collegiate carrer was only 2 seasons. Gomes had 145 tackles (76 solo and 69 assisted tackles), 1 sack, forced 5 fumbles, 7 interceptions, and 1 touchdown.

Niles Paul played all 4 years, in his freshman season he only had 1 reception though. In his career he had 103 receptions for 1,532 yards and 5 touchdowns. He had 9 carries for 56 yards and 1 touchdown.

*Eric Hagg (DB) drafted in the 7th round by the Cleveland Browns

Dallas a good host of the Super Bowl?

My schools' news had a brief segment on Super Bowl XLV, where they stated 3 facts that not everyone knew about the Super Bowl, which I did know.

1. Ice fell off Cowboys Stadium and hit 6 people.

2. Christina Aguilera messed up the Anthem.

3. Temporary seats weren't installed in time leaving fans without seats and were refunded 3 times the amount.

Then they went on to say that Dallas dropped the ball hosting the Super Bowl...First off how was Dallas suppose to know they'd have cold, snow, and ice in February. Secondly, Christina Aguilera's mess up was all on her. The temporary seating was their fault though and partly NFL (will explain later). So I don't think Dallas dropped the ball there were some bad coincidences but overall seemed like everyone that had seats had a good time, the game was great and Cowboys Stadium is a miraculous stadium. The NFL even stated that Dallas and Cowboys Stadium did an awesome job and they have a strong chance of rehosting the Super Bowl in years to come.

Dallas had unusally wintery weather days leading up to the Super Bowl that led to Dallas airports being shut down and roads therefore alot of inconveniences to fans trying to get in town for the 'big game'. On Friday, February 4, ice and snow slid off of the roof of Cowboys Stadium and fell onto 6 workers that were preparing the stadium for the game. 4 workers injuries were minor and the other 2 workers were more severely injured, 1 was hit in the shoulder and the other in the head. 1 of the workers is in critical condition and isn't expected to make it. (So keep his family in your thoughts.)

Gamblers were betting on all sorts of things during the Super Bowl, such as how long Christina Aguilera would take to sing the National Anthem and how long she'd hold the last note. (The over/under was 1 min 54 seconds and she took 1 min 53 seconds and 7 miliseconds.) The story line though of Christina Aguilera's performance was her messing up the National Anthem. She repeated the line "What so proudly we watched at the twilight's last gleaming." instead of singing "O'er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming."

1,250 fans entered Cowboys Stadium excited to see Super Bowl XLV to find out that the temporary seats that they paid to sit in for the game had not been installed or were deemed unsafe to sit in. 850 fans were relocated to similar or better seats and the 400 fans that weren't able to be relocated were given 3 times the cost of their ticket ($2,400) and tickets to next seasons Super Bowl in Indianapolis. "
The NFL tried to placate those 400 fans, taking them inside the stadium to watch the game on monitors in the North Field Club behind the Pittsburgh bench. They also had the option of viewing the game from standing-room platforms in each corner of the stadium. Those fans will still get the triple refund.
The fans "watched game in club w/free food, soft drinks + merchandise," NFL spokesman Greg Aiello tweeted. "The other 850 were re-located to seats in equal or better locations. NFL + Cowboys staff and families gave up seats." -ESPN (Link #3). The NFL knew about the temporary seats possibly causing a stir a week before the game and didn't give any statement to those fans with temporary seating tickets about the chance of not being allowed to sit in their seats. The NFL stands by their decision of not alerting the fans and get them riled up if they didn't have to.

Seahawks don't fly well in snow; Seahawks vs. Bears

As I said stated in the "This season's playoff underdog vs. last season's Superbowl underdog; Saints vs. Seahawks" the Seahawks were going to be crushed against the Bears. Of course I was right, :). My father said that the Seahawks weren't even going to score a point and I said they'd score only field goals, read on to see if either of us was right.

1st quarter. The Seahawks won the coin toss and elected to receive the ball. Leon Washington returned the ball for 14 yards to the Seahawks' 24 yard line, that was the longest play of the drive. Next play Washington rushed for 9 yards to the Seahawks' 31 yard line. Marshawn Lynch was tackled in the back field, Matt Hasselbeck threw for an incompletion to Brandon Stokley, and the Seahawks had to punt without gaining a 1st down. After a fair catch by Devin Hester, after 2 rush plays both positive plays for 8 yards total, Jay Cutler threw to Greg Olsen for a 58 yard touchdown (7-0 Bears). The next Seahawks drive seemed to have a little more spark to it. Washington returned the kick off for 21 yards to the Seahawks' 24th yard line (same starting spot as the first drive). First play of the new drive, Matt Hasselbeck to John Carlson for a 1st down and more, unfortunately Carlson was injured with a hard hit on the sidelines and would not return to the game. Golden Tate ran for another 1st down and more the next play. Hasselbeck threw incomplete to Cameron Morrah, Justin Forsett was taken down for negative 1 yards, and then Hasselbeck completed to Morrah for 10 yards but still made them 1 yard short. The Bears & Seahawks did nothing but eat up around 4 minutes of the clock in 8 plays during their next 2 combined drives. The Bears ate up 5 minutes en route to a 1 yard rushing touchdown by Chester Taylor (14-0 Bears) with a little over 1 minute left in the 1st quarter. Seahawks started their drive with a 7 yard gain. 2nd quarter. Seahawks couldn't even get a first down on their continued drive from the 1st to the 2nd quarter. Though the Bears also scored a touchdown on their first drive of the 2nd drive, after 8 plays for 3 first downs to get the Bears in the red zone. Jay Cutler actually ran the ball in himself for the 6 yard touchdown (21-0 Bears). Nothing exciting really happens for the rest of this quarter, well unless you love defensive plays. Matt Hasselbeck threw 7 incompletions and Cutler 4 incompletions. The 2nd quarter and 1st half ended with a Cutler sack for minus 6 yards with a Bears lead of 21. Halftime.

3rd quarter. 1st drives for Bears and Seahawks are yawn...3 and outs. Bears discontinued their streak from the first half of scoring on the first play of each quarter but they did score on their 2nd drive after 13 plays, around 8 minutes, and covering 69 yards for another Cutler rushing touchdown from 9 yards out (28-0 Bears). The Seahawks finalllly get on the board during their drive. They had 2 1st downs and got to the Bears' 12 yard line but had to settle for a 30 yard field goal, which Olindo Mare hit for 3 points (28-3 Bears), at this point I was right about the Seahawks' only getting a field goal and my dad was wrong because they scored a point. 4th quarter. The 4th play of the 4th quarter Cutler threw a pass intended for Hester and was intercepted by Aaron Curry. Now this is when the winning teams defense lays down and the final score makes it look better than it was... 2 minutes into Seahawks 1st drive of the 4th quarter Hasselbeck threw an touchdown pass to Mike Williams (28-10 Bears). Bears' tried to pass their next drive instead of run off the clock and had to punt after only running down 3:46 minutes off the clock. Seahawks 1 1st down and then had to punt. Bears' offense got the ball at the Seahawks' 48 yard line. After 2 plays the Bears' were at the Seahawks' 39 yard line and the next play they were in their endzone for a 39 yard touchdown pass by Cutler to Kellen Davis (35-10 Bears). Seahawks' score on a 3 yard pass from Hasselbeck to Williams (35-17 Bears). Bears' couldn't get a 1st down to run down the clock until the 4th quarter is over. Hasselbeck threw a 46 yard completion to Ben Obomanu to set up the 9 yard touchdown pass to Stokley (35-24 Bears). The Seahawks' try an onsides kick but the Bears' Johnny Knox recovered, therefore Cutler was able to kneel 3 times to end the game.

The Bears will be playing the Packers in the NFC championship game.

The dogs got their wish; Packers vs. Eagles

On Sunday night, every dog in the world were rooting for the Packers to beat the man that appears in their nightmares, Michael Vick. They felt him not making it to the Superbowl and starting in the Pro Bowl was the lesser of two evils.

The Philadelphia Eagles never had a lead in the game but in the end of the 4th quarter they did have a shot to win but Michael Vick blew it. There was no score until 8 seconds left in the 1st quarter, a 7 yard pass from Aaron Rodgers to Tom Crabtree to put them on the board before the 2nd quarter (7-0 Packers). There wasn't another score for about 10 minutes into the 2nd quarter again the Packers, a 9 yard pass from Rodgers to James Jones (14-0 Packers). The Eagles finally answered back in 4 minutes with a 29 yard field goal by David Akers (14-3 Packers), who had missed a 41 yard field goal wide right in the Eagles first drive of the game. After half time the Eagles looked alive. The Pack had the ball first but after 3 plays and a Packer time out Aaron Rodgers was sacked for negative 6 yards and Eagles' defensive end, Darryl Tapp forced Aaron to fumble and it was recovered by Eagles' Juqua Parker. On the second play of the Eagles' drive Michael Vick connected to Jason Avant for 24 yard touchdown (14-10 Packers). Packers next drive were only able to move the ball on plays of 10+ yards, such as a 29 yard pass from Aaron Rodgers to Donald Driver and a 19 yard run by James Starks, the drive was capped off by a 16 yard touchdown pass from Aaron Rodger to Brandon Jackson (21-10 Packers). In the 4th quarter on an Eagles' drive that was carried over from the 3rd quarter David Akers attempted a 34 yard field goal and missed it wide right. The Packers ran out about 4 minutes of the clock during their drive but no score to show for. Michael Vick threw 3 incomplete passes and was sacked for minus 1 yard, but was still able to go down field and punch in the 1 yard touchdown. The Eagles' went for 2 points on the PAT, first attempt to Brent Celek failed due to penalty (from going out of bounds then catching the ball, in bounds) and the 2nd attempt also failed to LeSean McCoy (21-16 Packers). Packers were able to gain 1 1st down with more than 3 minutes to go but wasn't able to convert a 3rd & 10 and punted back to the Eagles. Vick got the Eagles to the Packer 27 yard line in 4 plays in 1 minute and 12 seconds but he tried to throw a long ball into the end zone which was intercepted by Tramon Williams. The Packers offensive line only had to line up in victory formation once.

Supposedly, David Akers was suffering from an undisclosed personal issue during this game, but as a kicker, and professional athelete, you should be able to focus on your job at hand. He is a great kicker, most of the time and their was some hefty winds coming into Philadelphia. The Eagles' regular season top receiver DeSean Jackson was injured in the 1st half of the game with an knee injury and was questionable but he came back into the game and did virtually nothing. The Eagles' had more passing and total yards than the Packers: 352 total yards for the Eagles and 309 for the Packers, 271 Eagle passing yards and 171 Packers passing yards, and Eagles had 81 rushing yards compared to the Packers 138 rushing yards. The Packers also had 2 turnovers, 2 fumbles, while the Eagles only had 1 turnover, the interception by Vick. Vick was the leading passer with 292 yards, touchdown, and a interception in 20 completions of 36 attempts. Starks was the top rusher with 23 carries for 123 yards yet no touchdowns. Jason Avant was the top receiver with 7 catches for 93 yards and 1 touchdown. This is the 2nd consecutive year of losing in the wildcard round of the playoffs, last season in Dallas after losing to the Cowboys the week before as well.

The Stars of the Greatest Team Ever

This is a research paper I wrote my Junior year of high school. I came across it the other day. I got a 99% on it so it must be decent, I only didn't get a 100% because of the heading.

In Miami, Florida on January 28^th, 1960 at the Annual National Football League (NFL) Meeting the Dallas Cowboys franchise were granted to Clint Murchison, Jr. and Bedford Wynne as an expansion team.  The Dallas Cowboys have 12 Hall of Famers: Troy Aikman, Tony Dorsett, Bob Hayes, Michael Irvin, Tom Landry, Bob Lilly, Mel Renfro, Tex Schramm, Roger Staubach, Randy White, Emmitt Smith and Rayfield Wright.  The Dallas Cowboys have a Ring of Honor, honoring their players, all 12 of the Hall of Famers are in the Ring and so are 5 Cowboys that aren’t in the Hall of Fame: Cliff Harris, Chuck Howley, Lee Roy Jordon, Don Meredith, and Don Perkins.  The Dallas Cowboys franchise, over the course of its 50 years, has 5 wins out of 8 appearances in the Super Bowl.  Troy Aikman, Michael Irvin, and Emmitt Smith have been classified to have been on the ‘Greatest Team Ever’ in the 1990s.  They won 3 Super Bowls and they still hold many NFL and Cowboy records.


Troy Aikman, Michael Irvin, and Emmitt played for the Dallas Cowboys together from 1990 to 1999, which was when they became all-time greats.  In the 90s, their win-lose record was 101-59, they had 3 Super Bowl appearances and wins, and were National Football Conference (NFC) Champions 3 times.  During the 10 seasons, 5 NFL records were made: Most Career Passing Yards, Most Career Rushing    Yards, Most Career Receptions, All-Time Leading Scorer, and Longest Fumble Return.  Out of the 5 records, 4 are held by Troy, Michael, or Emmitt.


Michael Jerome Irvin, number 88, wide receiver, was the first of Troy Aikman and Emmitt Smith to play in the NFL.  Michael was born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on March 5^th, 1966.  He attended St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.  He stayed in state for college, and signed with the ‘U,’ University of Miami.  Michael set a record for catches, receiving yards, and touchdown receptions in only 3 seasons at the ‘U.’  Michael Irvin was drafted in the 1988 NFL Draft in the 1^st around, as the 11^th overall pick.  “As a rookie, Irvin offered a glimpse of what was to follow during his 12-season career with the Cowboys” (Pro Football Hall of Fame 2).  He led the league in receptions in 1991; he had 1,000 yard receiving seasons from 1991-1998, minus one season; he owns 1 NFL season record; tied for 1 NFL season record; 12 Dallas Cowboys team records; tied for 2 Dallas Cowboys team records; 4 records of Dallas Cowboys post-season records; and tied for 2 post-season Dallas Cowboys records.  Michael was selected to 5 consecutive Pro Bowls from 1992 to 1996.  Michael was All-Pro in 1991, All-Pro Second Team in 1992 and 1993, and All-NFC in 1991.  Michael Irvin was the only star Cowboy until Troy Aikman and Emmitt Smith were drafted in the first round in the next two drafts.


Troy Kenneth Aikman, quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys from 1989 to 2000, is one of the greatest players of all-time.  “He (Troy) makes a very complex position seem uncomplicated, ‘That is one of his strengths,’ Cowboy’s backup quarterback Jason Garrett says” (Attner 26).  Troy was born in Covina, California on November 21^st, 1966.  He attended Henryett High School in Oklahoma before he was a nationwide known name.   Troy began his college career at Oklahoma University (OU) then transferred to the University of California (UCLA).  Troy was a finalist for the 1988 Heisman Award, he was the 1988 College Quarterback of the year, and won the 1988 Davey O’Brien National Quarterback Award when he was a senior at UCLA.  He was drafted in the 1^st round, as the 1^st overall pick by the Dallas Cowboys in the 1989 NFL Draft.  Troy is the most winningest starting quarterback of any decade.  At the time of his retirement in 2000, Troy held many Super Bowl, post-season, and career records.  He owns the Highest Completion Percentage in the Super Bowl for his career.  Troy holds 29 records and 4 records; he is tied for first in team records.  He holds 12 team records for post-season play and tied for 1^st for 2 other post-season records.  He has Cowboy Passing Titles for 1989 to 2000 and was the Passing Touchdown Leader from 1989 to 2000, as well.  In 1997 Troy Aikman received the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year award and, in one of the three Super Bowls he played in and won, he received the Most Valuable Player for Super Bowl XXVII.  Troy is part of the Class of 2006 of the Pro Football Hall of Fame.  Troy was All-Pro in 1993, All-NFC Second Team in 1994 and 1995, and he was selected into the Pro Bowl 6 consecutive years from 1992 to 1997.  Some say Troy Aikman couldn’t have achieved what he did without the Cowboy offensive line, Michael Irvin, and Emmitt Smith; such as, 3 Super Bowl wins; Super Bowl MVP; and all the records he broke.


The most extraordinary running back to play for the Dallas Cowboys is number 22, Emmitt J. Smith, III.  Emmitt was born in Pensacola, Florida on May 15^th, 1969.  He attended Escambia High School in Escambia, Florida, where he was an All-American running back and named prep Player of the Year by USA Today when he was a senior in High School.  Emmitt, also like Michael, stayed in the state of Florida for college, but unlike Michael, he signed with the University of Florida (UF).  He was an All-American, 3 times All-SEC, and owned 58 school records with UF.  The Cowboys drafted him first round, with the 17^th overall pick, in the 1990 NFL Draft.  Emmitt led the NFL in rushing touchdowns 3 times; he had 11 straight 1,000 yard seasons; he is the all-time rushing leader; he owns 4 NFL rushing titles; and he was named Super Bowl XXVIII Most Valuable Player.  “Smith’s 168 yards rushing (January 2^nd, 1994 vs. New York Giants) pushed him past Jerome Bettis for his third consecutive rushing title- only Jim Brown, Earl Campbell, and Steve Van Buren had ever won three in a row before Emmitt” (Angelo 87).  He was selected to 8 Pro Bowls.  Emmitt spent his last season with the Arizona Cardinals.  Emmitt Smith was elected to the Hall of Fame in the Class of 2010.  Emmitt Smith has not been inducted though to the Hall of Fame, like Troy Aikman and Michael Irvin.


The Dallas Cowboys’ franchise started with an 0-11-1 season in 1960 to winning 3 Super Bowls in one decade in the 1990s.  The 1990s Cowboy team has been regarded as the ‘Greatest Team Ever’ with its star players, Troy Aikman, Michael Irvin, and Emmitt Smith.  Michael Irvin was drafted in 1988, Troy Aikman drafted in 1989, and Emmitt Smith drafted in 1990, all to the Dallas Cowboys’ and in the first round.  Troy Aikman was born in California, went to high school in Oklahoma, and college in Oklahoma and California.  Michael Irvin and Emmitt Smith were both born in Florida, played high school in Florida, and college in Florida.  Who would of thought 3 stellar college players would be drafted in the 1^st round of the NFL draft, to the same team, and in 3 consecutive years to become NFL stars on the greatest NFL dynasty.  It takes more than one star player to make a dynasty, it takes un-selfish players to make a dynasty, and it takes talented players to make a dynasty.

Happy NFL Thanksgiving

To start off Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I hope everyone enjoyed their day with their friends and family. As everyone knows football is part of pretty much 99% of families traditions for Thanksgiving if they just watch NFL or go out and play in their backyard or even both. Well of course I'm a girl so I don't play football, and neither does anyone in my family for that matter, so I watch it.

The early game was Patriots vs. Lions. I expected it to be just like last year another game that we all had to watch miserably wishing it had some action but not this year. Patriots only scored off a 19 yard field goal and the Lions had a 19 yard touchdown from Shaun Hill to Calvin Johnson in the 1st quarter (7-3 Lions). 2nd quarter a 1 yard touchdown run by Maurice Morris for a Lion touchdown and a 44 yard field goal to put the Lions 17-10 over the Patriots who scored on a 15 yard touchdown run by BenJarvus Green-Ellis. 2nd half started out good then by the 4th quarter it was like the recent Thanksgiving games in Detriot. Wes Welker caught a touchdown pass by Tom Brady and Deion Branch also caught a touchdown pass by Tom Brady in the 3rd quarter while the Lions' Maurice Morris had his 2nd touchdown of the game on another 1 yard run (24-24). In the 4th quarter it was all Patriots, Wes Welker and Deion Branch for the 2nd time in the game and half caught a touchdown pass by Tom Brady, which game him 4 touchdowns in the game, and also BenJarvus Green-Ellis had his 2nd rushing touchdown of the game, a 1 yard touchdown. 45-24 was the final score. Tom Brady won the MVP award for this Thanksgiving game with throwing 21 completions out of 27 attempts for 341 yards, 4 touchdowns, and 0 interceptions. Ndamukong Suh became the new holder of a Lions record, most sacks for a defensive player in their rookie season. Suh only had 1 sack in the game but 3 tackles and 1 assist.

This one will be hard for me to write.
The Cowboys host their annual Thanksgiving game, 2nd time in Cowboys Stadium, against the Saints. The Saints went 17-0 in the 1st quarter with a 3 yard touchdown run by Chris Ivory after a huge play by Drew Brees to Devery Henderson  for 57 yards to put them into the red zone. Garrett Hartley made a 50 yard field goal. Chris Ivory, had another touchdown in the 1st quarter, a 6 yard touchdown run. Nothing but field goals in the 2nd quarter. David Buehler made 2, a 21 yard and a career long of 53 yarder. Garrett Hartley made a 45 yard field goal to add to the Saints led. Half time (20-6 Saints). 2nd play in the 2nd quarter Miles Austin  ran for a 60 yard touchdown to start the Cowboys momentum. Garrett Hartley was sent out to kick for the Saints he nailed a 28 yard field goal. Marion Barber punched in a touchdown from 1 yard out to make the score 23-20 Saints. Both teams scored a touchdown in the 4th quarter. Tashard Choice scored his 1st touchdown of the season 1 yard out gave the Cowboys the lead for the 1st time at 27-23 but then Roy Williams fumbled in the red zone and the Saints recovered and got a 12 yard touchdown pass by Dree Brees to Lance Moore which was the last scoring play so the final score was 30-27 Saints. Cowboys came close to possibly tieing but Jason Garrett showed how much of a rookie coach he was by his clock management and 2 minute offense. Cowboys never used 2 time outs during in their last offensive drive and tried for a 59 yard field goal which was missed. I don't know who won the MVP award because I turned off the tv and left the room.

First Thanksgiving game hosted at the New Meadowlands Stadium, shared by the New York Giants and the New York Jets in New Jersey. The Jets were using the stadium for the night Thanksgiving game versus the Bengals. The first half was horrible for the Bengals, just like their season as been. There was no scoring in the 1st quarter by either team. The Jets scored first on their first drive of the 2nd quarter after Carson Palmer was intercepted Jim Leonhard. They had to settle for a 27 yard field goal by Nick Folk to put them on the scoreboard (3-0 Jets). The Bengals scored a 5 yard pass by Carson Palmer to rookie Jordan Shipley to put them on the board and in the lead (7-3 Bengals). Second play from scrimmage in the 2nd half Brad Smith ran 53 yards for a Jets touchdown (10-7 Jets). Couple drives later Mark Sanchez connected with Santonio Holmes for a 13 yard Jets touchdown (17-7 Jets). Bengals first drive of the 4th quarter ended with a good 28 yard field goal attempt by Aaron Pettrey (17-10 Jets). The kickoff by Pettrey was returned, by Brad Smith, 89 yards for a Jets touchdown (24-10 Jets). Even the Jets defense got in with the scoring with sack on Carson Palmer in the end zone by Trevor Pryce for a safety (26-10 Jets). This was Trevor Pryce's first sack of the season. The Jets offense, defense, and special teams all scored points. Final score of 26-10 Jets defeat Bengals.

Vick single handedly beats the Redskins; Eagles vs. Redskins

Michael Vick, Eagles quarterback, scored 42 points, 4 passing touchdowns and 2 rushing touchdowns. Vick threw 88 yards to DeSean Jackson on the 1st play from scrimmage for a touchdown, Jackson's 1st of 2 catches of the game (7-0 Eagles). Eagles scored 6 times in the 1st half in 8 drives. Vick rushed 7 yards for a touchdown on the Eagles second drive after going 63 yards in 5 plays (14-0 Eagles). 7 plays after a Donovan McNabb interception, Vick to LeSean McCoy for an 11 yard passing touchdown (21-0 Eagles). McCoy is the Eagles top rusher, not in this game though, had no rushing touchdowns. Redskins weren't able to get a 1st down so they punted the ball over to the Eagles. Eagles then after 2 plays got 2 1st downs to the 50 yard line where Jerome Harrison was given the ball by Vick and rushed in 50 yards for a touchdown (28-0 Eagles). Harrison caught a 15 yards reception by Vick to set up his 50 yard run. The 1st play of the 2nd quarter was a 48 yard pass by Vick to Jeremy Maclin for a touchdown (35-0 Eagles). The ruling that the ball broke the plane was challenged by Mike Shanahan, Redskins head coach, and the ruling was upheld for a touchdown. The Redskins finally answered back, 1st play of the drive was for 71 yards by McNabb to Fred Davis, and the 2nd play was a 3 yard touchdown by McNabb to Darrel Young (35-7 Eagles). Young's only catch of the game. Eagles for the 1st time game the ball over to the Redskins not by kick off. Sav Rocca punted for the 1st time. McNabb threw to Keiland Williams for another touchdown (35-14 Eagles). Rocca punted again and McNabb threw an interception to Dimitri Patterson. Eagles capitalized off this turnover. Vick ran for 21 yards to set up a 6 yard touchdown run, again Vick (42-14 Eagles). This was Vick's 2nd rushing touchdown of the game. Redskins weren't capable of getting a first down and punted to Eagles which DeSean Jackson returned for 12 yards. The Eagles were only able to come out with a field goal, a 48 yard attempt was nailed by David Akers (25-14 Eagles). The last play of the 1st half was a McNabb being sacked for -13 yards by Trevor Laws. The Redskins got the ball first after half time 9 plays after kickoff Keiland Williams rushed for 4 yards for a touchdown (45-21 Eagles). The Eagles answer back in 11 plays, 1 delay of game penalty, with Vick throwing to Jason Avant for a 3 yard touchdown (52-21 Eagles). On the 3rd play of the Redskins next drive McNabb was intercepted by Dimitri Patterson, 2nd interception on the night, which he returned 40 yards for 6 points, extra point good by Akers (59-21 Eagles). Back-to-back drives ended with punts by Redskins and Eagles. Redskins gain 4 1st downs to Eagles' 32 yard line that set up a 32 yard touchdown run by Keiland Williams (59-28 Eagles). That was the only score in the 4th quarter.

Michael Vick ended up having 20 completions of 28 attempts for 333 yards, 4 touchdowns, 0 interceptions passing. Michael Vick, rushing, had 8 carries for 80 yards and 1 touchdown. His longest run was a 21 yards. Donovan McNabb had 17 completions of 31 attempts for 295 yards, 2 touchdowns, and 3 interceptions. Jerome Harrison was the top rusher of the game with 11 carries for 109 yards and 1 touchdown. The touchdown run was his longest of the game, 50 yards. DeSean Jackson was the top receiver with only 2 catches for 98 yards and 1 touchdown. Longest catch was the very first from the scrimmage a 88 yard touchdown pass from Vick. 4 Eagles' receivers had 1 touchdown; DeSean Jackson, Jeremy Maclin, Jason Avant, and LeSean McCoy (listed as running back). David Akers was 8-for-8 on extra points and 1-for-1 on field goals. Graham Gano was 4-for-4 on extra points and didnt attempted any field goals. Eagles' had 592 net yards and Redskins' had 375 net yards. Both teams committed 6 penalties, Eagles' lost 35 yards from them and Redskins' 41 yards. Both teams were 100% in the red zone efficiency and goal to go efficiency.

I don't get how people can say Vick is changed just because he played great during this game. Yes, Vick is an awesome football but changed as a person? How can we tell by how he plays? I still dislike him and I probably will never like him. At first I knew a lot of people that were Eagles' fans that hated the idea of Vick but now that he's playing awesome they've jumped on his band wagon. So I guess it's just like a book who cares what happens in the begining or in the middle, how ever it ends is the way we remember it. So forget what he did to those innocent dogs in Atlanta since he can run and pass? I don't think so. He is one hell of a player but I'm grateful my team didn't pick him up. I'd rather have good citizens with talent than criminals with extraordinary talent.

New head coach sparks the Cowboys past the Giants

On Monday, November 8th, 2010 Wade Phillips was fired as the Dallas Cowboys' head coach. Wade Phillips with the Cowboys had a record of 44-32 with only 1 playoff win. Offensive coordinator Jason Garrett was named head coach by owner and GM Jerry Jones. Jason Garrett started as most first time head coaches do tough (or at least act tough).

The Dallas Cowboys beat the New York Giants, the team that took out their beloved Tony Romo for most of the season in Week 7, 33-20 in Week 10. In the 1st half the Cowboys showed their emotion for the first time this season by scoring 9 points unanswered, a touchdown and a field goal. Lawrence Tynes, Giants' place kicker, scored the first points of the game (3-0 Giants). Next drive for the Cowboys, Jon Kitna connected with Dez Bryant, rookie, for 45 yards to the Giants' 13 yard line. Very next play was a 13 yard touchdown from Kitna to Bryant, first was ruled incomplete but Jason Garrett challenged and it was overturned for a Cowboy touchdown (6-3 Cowboys)! The extra point was no good by David Buehler. Few drives later, Cowboys on a continuation drive that started on the their 36 yard line started the 2nd quarter, drive ended with a David Buehler 22 yard field goal (9-3 Cowboys). On the kickoff, Buehler kicked the football out of bounds which gave the Giants the ball on the Cowboys' 40 yard line. This Giants drive ended up going into the Cowboys' red zone but the Cowboys came out with the touchdown by an Eli Manning interception that Bryan McCann ran back 101 yards for a pick 6 (16-3 Cowboys). The Giants received the kick off at their own 10 yards and returned it 15 yards. Those 15 yards were then taken back on the next play by a personal foul penalty on the Giants. Another penalty to back the Giants another 5 yards, back-to-back penalties. The Giants weren't able to get out of the 1st & 25 hole they dug them self into. Matt Dodge's, Giants' rookie punter, punt went out of bounds so the Cowboys got the ball on the Giants' 40 yard line. Great field position for the Cowboys but they were only able to get a 23 yard field goal out of it (19-3 Cowboys). Back-to-back field goal drives, Giants' Tynes nailed a 25 yard field goal to cut the Cowboys lead to 13 (19-6 Cowboys). Cowboys go into half time feeling great with a 13 point lead and the Giants feeling a little humiliated at home. Opening drive of the 2nd half started at the Cowboys' 29 yard line after a 23 yard return by Bryan McCann. After 2 plays for no gain then Jon Kitna threw to Felix Jones for a 71 yard touchdown (26-6 Cowboys)! Giants answer back in 9 plays with an 5 yard touchdown from Eli Manning to Mario Manningham (26-13 Cowboys). Jon Kitna answers back as well in 7 plays with a 24 yard touchdown pass to Miles Austin (33-13 Cowboys). Eli Manning completes to Kevin Boss for a 35 yard touchdown in only 3 plays (33-20 Cowboys). There was absolutely no scoring in the 4th quarter but Jon Kitna was picked off by Deon Grant and Eli Manning was picked off by Alan Ball, his first interception of his career. Eli Manning also fumbled after he recovered a bad snap and it was recovered by the Cowboys' Anthony Spencer.

The Cowboys win snapped the Giants 5 game winning streak and the Cowboys 5 game losing streak. Giants are now 6-3 while the Cowboys are 2-7. The Giants coming in to the game were being regarded the best team in the NFL but they only had the lead at one time and it was a lead of 3 points... The New Meadowlands Stadium wasn't ready for such a defeat that towards the end of the 3rd quarter the stadiums power shut off, I know the Cowboys were playing lights out but I don't think they wanted to play in the dark.

Thursday Night Football; Ravens vs. Falcons

The Falcons and Ravens both came into the game 6-2 with playoffs still in sight. Falcons came into the Georgia Dome 4-0 on the season. The Falcons were wearing throwbacks from their begining seasons as an expansion team in 1966. Both quarterbacks were drafted in the 1st round of the 2008 NFL Draft and both started in their rookie season.

1st half:
Ray Lewis, Ravens, hurt his right foot after a tackling Michael Turner, his return was questionable and he did return the next Falcon drive. Then the next Falcon drive Matt Ryan threw to Jason Snelling for a 28 yard passing touchdown, Snelling was wide open (7-0 Falcons). Michael Koenen, Flacons' punter, punted the ball 38 yards to the Ravens' 35 yard line, Lardarius Webb returned it 7 yards to the Ravens' 42 yard line where he fumbled and it was recovered by the Falcons' Coy Wire at the 43 yard line. Falcons' only get a field goal off the turnover, a 28 yard field goal by Matt Bryant (10-0 Falcons). Falcons' go into half time with the lead, (10-0 Falcons).

2nd half:
Joe Flacco, Ravens, was sacked for -8 yards on the first offensive play of the 2nd half. 2 plays later Joe Flacco was intercepted by Grimes, the pass was attended for T.J. Houshmandzadeh, he returned it for no gain. Again, the Falcons only got a field goal out of the turnover, a 51 yard field goal by Matt Bryant (13-0 Falcons). Next drive, Ravens drive, Joe Flacco threw a 5 yard touchdown pass to Anquan Boldin to put the Ravens on the board (13-7 Falcons). Wasn't another score until the 4th quarter. Matt Ryan, Falcons, threw a 4 yard pass to Roddy White for a Falcon touchdown (20-7 Falcons). Flacco and the Ravens answer back on the next drive with a 6 yard touchdown pass to Derek Mason (20-14 Falcons). Roddy White dropped a 3rd & 4 pass for a 1st down so Falcons had to punt the ball back to the Ravens, leading by 6 with 03:06 left in the game. In 1 minute and 47 seconds the Ravens scored, Joe Flacco 9 yards to Todd Heap to give the Ravens their first lead (and only) of the game (21-20 Ravens). Then the Falcons get the ball with 01:05 left in the game. Matt Ryan threw to Michael Jenkins for a first down, who caught it with his fingertips and the booth reviewed it and it was confirmed. On 3rd & 10 Matt Ryan threw incomplete to Tony Gonzalez but Tavares Gooden was called for a pass interference penalty which was a spot foul and gave the Falcons a 1st down to continue their drive. Next play was a 33 yard touchdown pass to Roddy White from Matt Ryan, game winning touchdown (26-21 Falcons). The Falcons tried for 2 points to ensure the game going into OT just in case if the Ravens could score in 20 seconds, try failed. The ball was back in Joe Flacco's hands with 16 seconds left at the Ravens 9 yard line. Joe Flacco threw to Todd Heap for 18 yards. Then Joe Flacco was sacked for -3 yards and the Ravens call a time out with 2 seconds left in the game. 12 men on the field penalty against the Ravens back them up another 5 yards now they are on the Ravens 24 yard line. Now the last play of the game was a 7 yard pass to T.J. Houshmandzadeh and he fumbled it, went out of bounds. Game over.

NFL Week 7 in Review

A little late I know. Anyhow these are 'some' of the notable plays, stats, and such from week 7.

• Jaguars got the 1 yard line due to penalty came out with only a field goal
• Kevin Kolb threw a pick 6 that capped the game off for the Titans
• Randy White had a bobbling catch for a touchdown

• Ravens win coin toss
• Ravens punt and then Bills fumble recovered by Ravens
• Ravens have been in two consecutive overtime games, lost to Patriots in OT, and now beat Bills in OT
• Raiders scored 24 in first quarter, 12 in second, and 21 in third quarter
• Philip Rivers threw a lateral pass to Jacob Hester, who dropped it, neither player went to pick it up or any Patriot, after a few seconds a Patriot defender picked it up. This makes me think of the saying 'Play until the whistle' Norv Turner must not teach that philosophy

I'm not sure but it seemed to me this week had alot more turn overs than usual...and unusual quarterbacks turning the ball over. Every game this week has had 1 quarterback turn over the ball. 6 teams didn't commit a turnover; Patriots, Buccaneers, Browns, Chiefs, 49ers and Raiders. Who thought the Raiders would go a game without a turn over, but then again who thought they could score 59 points in 3 quarters. (About) 72 turnovers total for this week. An average of 5 turnovers per game. Two quarterbacks had 4 interceptions, one isn't new and one is, Dree Brees threw 2 pick 6s to the same defensive lineman and Jay Cutler threw 4 passes to the same Redskin, one time for a 'Skin touchdown, cornerback DeAngelo Hall. Also 8 rookies turned the ball over while 3 rookies either recovered a punt or intercepted a pass.

Cowboys Beat Themselves, yet again; Cowboys vs. Vikings.

Both Cowboys and Vikings came into the game 1-3. Cowboys came out 1-4 and Vikings 2-3 with a final score of 23-21. Vikings did not beat the Cowboys, the Cowboys beat the Cowboys. Another horrendous game of penalties. The Cowboys officially had 11 penalties called, for 91 penalty yards. Many, many false starts and offsides. How hard is it to wait till the ball to be snapped? Isn't these things you should know how to do before you even play in junior high football? The Cowboys are horribly coached on both sides of the ball. I've always disliked Jason Garrett, him and every coach on the staff needs to be fired, like right now. The Cowboys have enough money to hire Bill Cowher. The Cowboys will probably end the season with only 1 to 3 wins, the Lions and Rams will have a better record then them. They will have the 1st overall pick in the draft, maybe they can use it to trade for the Dolphins coaching staff, the Dolphins only had 4.9 penalties called on average per game in 2009, 2nd fewest in the league, and 4.2 average this season while the Cowboys has had 9.5 penalties per game this season, fewest this season in the league.

Miles Austin had a great touchdown to put the Cowboys up 14-7 in the 1st half but it was called back by an offensive passer interference call he had commited. The Cowboys had the Vikings on a 4th down in the end of the 4th quarter to give the Cowboys good field position to stage a comeback but of course there was a passer interference call that gave them about 13 yards and a first down.

There was no good parts in this game for the Cowboys, and the fans. I was never at one point happy for a touchdown besides the first one where Miles Austin drew a celebration penalty, one celebration penalty in the past two games not both on Miles Austin. The Cowboys had the most passing, receiving, and penalty yards. The Vikings only had the top rusher of the game, Adrian Peterson. Tony Romo threw for 220 yards, 3 touchdowns, and 2 interceptions. The interceptions were horrible! Just like the one he threw at the end of the lose to the Titans. I have a feeling he doesn't know what our jerseys look like, he throws straight to the other team. Seriously? Both interceptions were caught by E.J. Henderson, he had 0 interceptions before the game but thanks to Tony he has 2 to add to his stats. Felix Jones had the most Cowboys rushing yards and the games most receiving yards with 32 yards rushing and 61 yards receiving. Roy Williams had 3 catches, 2 of them were for touchdowns. Also Dez Bryant had 1 catch, which was his first career touchdown. The Cowboys sacked Favre 3 times and knocked him down a bit, enough to have the crowd ask for a flag each hit.

The Vikings offense was horrible besides Adrian Peterson. Brett Favre threw for only 118 yards and 1 touchdown. Top Viking receiver was Randy Moss with 5 catches for 55 yards. Adrian Peterson fumbled the ball in the 1st quarter but he forgot about that quickly with rushing for 73 yards and 1 touchdown, which isn't really that great of numbers. The first play of the 2nd half Percy Harvin ran the kick off back for a touchdown.

I will never quit being a fan with the going gets tough, but as a fan I reserve the right to talk shit about them and say they suck. I will threaten to quit being a fan or become a band wagon fan but I never I will. It just sucks, sucks being a fan of a love/hate team that's going through tough times specially when the hopes were so high.

Second Chances in Sports: NFL

Why should athletes deserve second changes that other people don't get, when they are plenty of people who live by the rules and also deserve a shot?

Michael Vick, former Atlanta Falcons quarterback, was arrested in 2007 for dog fighting. He was sentenced to 23 months in jail. The 2009 season he was released from jail and signed by the Philadelphia Eagles. Seriously they can't give him a year out of jail to see if he's changed or not? Criminals shouldn't be able to leave jail and go back to making millions. What does that tell the rest of the world? Oh if your a professional athlete, or celebrity, you can do anything illegal and either get away with it or reduced sentence, go to a nice jail, and then go back to making millions straight out of jail.

Dontè Stallworth, former Cleveland Brown wide receiver, was arrested for DUI manslaughter in 2009 and only received only 30 days in jail because he paid off the family, 2 years house arrest, 8 years of probation, and drivers license revoked for life. The normal sentencing for this crime in the state of Florida, where he commited this crime, is a sentencing of 10 years in jail. Stallworth is now with the Baltimore Ravens. How can someone offer a murder millions of dollars to play a game? While others who are sentenced with just a misdemeanor have a hard time just working for minimum wage.

Matt Jones, former Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver, in 2008 was arrested, not for the first time, for drug possession. The Jaguars were smart and didn't want anything to do with him after he and two other players were arrested. The Cincinnati Bengals signed him in 2009 but he never played and then they cut him.

Ben Roethlisberger, Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback, has had 2 sexual assault accusations against him in 2009 and 2010. In 2009 he was accused of assaulting a woman in his hotel room in Lake Tahoe, where he was for a charity event. Big Ben has now (this week) just gotten off suspension by the NFL for an accusation of rape, during the offseason, in a restroom of a nightclub in Georgia. Big Ben had been buying the woman who accused him of rape, she was only 20, drinks all night. So if there wasn't enough to prosecute Big Ben on sexual assault charges why didn't they arrest him for purchasing alcohol for a minor? Anyhow the NFL did the right thing by suspending him. Why is it that the NFL does more punishing than the law? Isn't the law suppose to be unbiased? Will famous peoples cases soon be only heard in the Supreme Court?

Worst Saturday Night Football Game Ever: Chicago Bears vs. New York Giants

On October 3rd, 2010 was one of the worst NFL games I have ever seen. The Chicago Bears went to New York to play the Giants in their new stadium. Every play basically resulted in sacks, interceptions, fumbles, or a sack fumble.

Jay Cutler was knocked out of the game, after the first half, with a concussion. Jay Cutler was sacked 10 times, 1 interception and 3 sack fumbles (lost only 1). Todd Collins, Bears backup quarterback, come into play during the 3rd and 4th quarter before he got injured himself. Todd Collins was intercepted by Deon Grant, Giants Safety. After Collins was injured, in the 4th quarter, then the Bears had to go to there 3rd string quarterback, Caleb Hanie, who came out throwing. Hanie ended up with the best rating of 102.1, Cutler's rating was 40.7, and Collins rating was 8.1. Hanie and Collins both recorded 36 yards, while Cutler barely out did them with 42 yards.

Eli Manning unlike the Bears was the only the quarterback that played for the Giants. Eli Manning was sacked 2 times, 0 interceptions, and 2 fumbles (lost both). Terrell Thomas intercepted a Cutler pass but only returned it 1 yard and Deon Grant intercepted a Todd Collins pass for 0 yards.

The score was 3-0 Giants all the way untill the 3rd quarter. The Giants had 1 touchdown in the 3rd quarter and had 1 touchdown in the 4th quarter. The Bears was able to make on field goal in the 4th quarter to put them on the board. The final score was 17-3.

59 yard kick good to put Jaguars over Colts.

In the last seconds of the game left the Jacksonville Jaguars kicker Josh Scobee, probably their best offensive player, made a 59 yarder to beat the Indianapolis Colts, defending AFC champions, 31-28.

Every time the Colts and Jaguars face each other it's a good game. I think it's the only time the Jaguars put on a good show when it's the Colts. I actually attended the game against them last season in Jacksonville, it was a thriller and it was great as a Peyton Manning fan not a Jag or Colt fan.

Peyton Manning went 33/46 for 352 yards and 2 touchdowns. Peyton threw his first interception of the season, one that shouldn't of been intercepted. Peyton's passer rating was 99.2. The Colts only had 1 player go for positive yards in the running game, Joseph Addai he carried the ball 16 times for 63 yards and 2 touchdowns.  This is a huge shocker, not, Reggie Wayne had the most catches and recieving yards, but no touchdowns while Dallas Clark and Austin Collie both had 1 touchdown. Reggie Wayne more than doubled the second highest reciever in catches and yards. Wayne had 15 catches for 196 yards, Dallas Clark had 7 catches for 68 yards, and Austin Collie had 5 catches for 39 yards. The Colts defense recorded no sacks and only 1 quarterback hits, I have no idea what that really means it's in the box score though... Colts defense had no impact at all.

David Garrard went 17/22 for 163 yards, 2 passing touchdowns, and 1 rushing touchdown. As usual the Jaguars over used Maurice Jones-Drew. Jones-Drew definitely injury proned with the amount of carries he gets and he was even limping around. Jones-Drew had 26 carries for 105 yards, 1 touchdown rushing, and 1 touchdown recieving. The Jaguars recieving yards looks very unimpressive. Mike Thomas had 5 catches for 68 yards, Tiquan Underwood had 3 catches for 41 yards, and Marcedes Lewis had 2 catches for 22 yards and 1 touchdown. The Jaguar defense also couldn't stop Peyton Manning and the Colts for running up and down the field. They recorded 1 sack on Peyton and 2 quarterback hits. They forced two fumbles but only won one of them, from Reggie Wayne.

This game was different than last seasons game in Jacksonville. The Jaguars had the majority of time of possession but this game it was pretty much equal with the Jags having the ball for 29 minutes and 46 seconds and the Colts 30 minutes and 14 seconds. The game win was going to go to who ever had the ball last, which was the Jaguars and won by the amazing 59 yard kick by Josh Scobee. If this was a game with an MVP award he'd definitely get it. Jaguars will still not make it to playoffs while Colts will make it.

National Football League (NFL) vs. Major League Baseball (MLB): Players

The recent NFL player holding out for more money/trade is Vincent Jackson of the San Diego Chargers. What makes these players think they need more money than the millions they make already make, when there are other players that are making barely a living on their own team?

Over the off season the Brett Favre saga was tested by the Darrelle Revis holdout. Revis, and/or his agent, felt he deserved to be the top paid defensive player. Two seasons ago Albert Haynesworth became the top paid defensive tackle and how did that turn out for the Redskins? Haynesworth has told his team he will not learn the 3-4 defense, he did not attend any OTA's to attempt to learn, he failed his conditioning test, and during the first regular season game, against the Dallas Cowboys, Mike Shanahan released to the media he would only play in passing downs that game, Haynesworth did not join the rest of the defense in meetings on the sideline just stood around with his hands on his waist. Do the Jets really think that Revis won't turn out like this if something doesn't go his way? I feel he will because we now know he cares a lot about the money he makes and he knows that he is the best player on that defense.

In the MLB, when do you ever really hear about holdouts or issues with players and managers? Rarely. Manny Ramirez and Nyjer Morgan are the biggest 'negative' personalities that you hear.  MLB players I'd say are the most humble since they have to work their way up to the top, so that's why you don't hear so much of them complaining for a raise or new contract. Even though most players that are drafted are young, playing through the minors make them work for their dream to play in 'The Show.' In the minors they don't make nearly the same amount of money as of what top major league players make, or any Yankee player. It's great that the MLB has the MiLB to help develop players physically and mentally, for baseball and for so much more.

Cowboys vs. Redskins

So I'll just say it now, I'm a Cowboys fan.

The Cowboys blew the game last night. As a Cowboys fan I was so excited that they released Flozell Adams because that meant no more stupid offensive penalties, but as most know that wasn't nearly the truth. The Cowboys had 12 penalities for 91 yards while the Redskins had 5 penalities for 42 yards.  The penalty that football fans will remember for a while is the one done by Alex Barron with the game on the line. Tony Romo had thrown a touchdown pass to Roy Williams with 0:00 on the scoreboard in the 4th quarter but the game would be ended without the touchdown counting with a holding call on Barron. 

The last play in the half is what doomed the Cowboys. The dreadful play calling of Jason Garrett haunted the Cowboys again.  He calls a play for Romo to throw a short pass to Tashard Choice who then was hit by a few Redskin defenders, DeAngelo Hall was able to strip the ball and recieve his and the Redskins first defensive touchdown of the season. The score was 10-0 at the half.

The Cowboys defense was dominating the game even with tons of mishaps.  Graham Gano went to kick a field goal in the second half but another penalty on the Cowboys gave them a first down. The Cowboys defense was able to get the ball back to Romo without any farther damage on the score board.

The whole offseason and countdown shows was all about McNabb being traded to the Redskins by the Eagles.  So this game was the debut of Donovan McNabb being cheered in FedEx Field rather than being booed. McNabb left the game with all the hype leading to nothing besides a win. McNabb had a 63.4% rating, 15/32 completions/attempts, 171 yards passing, and 17 yards rushing. While Romo had a 89.1% rating, 31/47 completions/attempts, 282 passing yards, and 1 touchdown.

The Redskins should thank the Cowboys giving them the win so easily. If for one time the Cowboys could have a game without so many stupid Pee Wee mistakes the Cowboys would be 1-0.
